How to make Chilli Chicken
Description
Chilli chicken is a popular Indo-Chinese dish of chicken. In India, this may include a variety of dry chicken preparations. Though mainly boneless chicken is used in this dish, some people also use boned chicken too. My chilli chicken is with South Indian touch.
Ingredients :
In this recipe we have to make two masalas.
- Masala 1 is ground masala which we have to make the powder
- Masala 2 is regular onion, jeera, curry leaves
1. 500 gms boneless or chicken with bone as you wish
Masala 1
- Dry Red chillies 5-6
- Coriander seeds 3 teaspoons
- 2 small cardamoms
- 1 large cardamom
- 1 inch cinnamon stick
Masala 2
- 2 medium sized onion chopped
- 1 inch ginger
- 6 pods of garlic
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- few curry leaves

Other dry masala Kashmiri Chilli powder, salt to taste and 1 teaspoon turmeric powder.
Always keep the ingredients ready in hand which will save your cooking time and hardly it will take few minutes to prepare.
Method :
- Take a pan or a Kadai pour some oil and put jeera, curry leaves and onions and fry it till it turns brown in color.
- When the onions turn brown in color add the ginger garlic paste and salt, turmeric powder, kashmiri chillie powder to it and saute it for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the chicken pieces and saute it for 2-3 minutes.
- Cover with lid and let it cook for 10 minutes in a slow flame you can check in between in 5 minutes.
- After 10 minutes when the chicken is fully cooked put the Masala no.1 which is dry grounded.
Give it a good stir and mix everything and again close the lid and cook or 3-4 minutes more.
And your delicious Chilli Chicken is ready to be served.
